Without further ado, here are the mental health related media contributions:

Podcasts

Depression is an incredibly common and isolating disease experienced by millions, yet often stigmatized by society. The Hilarious World of Depression is a series of frank, moving, and, yes, funny conversations with top comedians who have dealt with this disease, hosted by veteran humorist and public radio host John Moe.

Nora McInerny asks real people to share their complicated and honest feelings about how they really are. It’s sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and often both.

The Hardcore Self Help Podcast

A weekly podcast that answers your questions about mental health without the psychobabble bs.

Unlocking Us with Brené Brown

Conversations with a psychologist about life. Topics include: grief, shame, vulnerability, representation, loneliness, anxiety, and more.

Articles, Books, & Print Media

"Along the Autism Spectrum, a Path Through College Life"

An article from the New York Times regarding the experience of college with Autism.

Hardcore Self Help: F**k Depression

Written by the same person who created the Hardcore Self Help Podcast. One of our officers owns this book and is willing to lend it out. Please message us if interested!

A no-bullshit piece about how those who can’t ‘pass’ as reasonably sane are given less agency, respect, and dignity as they navigate psychiatric care.
