U of M Campus Resources - The Short List

Taking care of your mental health is not so different from taking care of your physical health. To take care of our bodies in the typical physical sense we must eat to create energy and fuel our activities. Our mental health must also be fueled by self care and self love. If we aren't getting enough fuel it can be difficult to function in academically, socially, and emotionally. No one deserves to deal with poor mental health, so if you are struggling, please reach out.

Here's a short but comprehensive list of the resources available to you as a student at the University of Minnesota. This list is being constantly updated and may not be exhaustive. Please feel free to reach out to us if you know of a resource that is not listed here but is helpful and available to any UMN student.

If these resources feel like too big of a first step for you to take, we understand. Reach out to your family, your friends, your academic advisor, or even us! You're welcome to contact us at @activemindsumn on Instagram, or email us at aminds@umn.edu and we can help you find resources that are a good fit for you. We are not therapists or counselors, just students like you. We know what you're going through. For more resources, refer to the UMN's mental health page here.
